What is an account in Trackivo?

An account is anywhere your money sits: cash, a bank account, a digital wallet or a credit card. Every transaction belongs to an account, and each balance is calculated from those transactions.

Can I set an opening balance?

Yes. When you create an account you can record an initial balance, which is stored as a transaction so your history stays consistent. Zero is a valid opening balance.

How do transactions work?

There are three core types: income adds money to an account, an expense removes money from an account, and a transfer moves money between two of your accounts without affecting income or expense totals.

How are credit cards handled?

Credit cards are liability accounts. Spending on the card increases what you owe and a payment to the card reduces it. Outstanding debt is shown as a positive amount in red so it reads naturally.

What is the Money Owed module?

Money Owed tracks informal lending and borrowing per person. You can lend money, receive it back, borrow money and pay it back, with partial or full settlements. A person stays active until both directions are settled.

Does Trackivo support multiple currencies?

You can choose your display currency and number formatting in Settings, and it is applied consistently across the dashboard, transactions and reports.

How do recurring transactions work?

You create a template with a frequency. Fixed amounts can be generated automatically, while variable amounts appear as reminders you confirm before they are recorded. Duplicate protection prevents the same occurrence being recorded twice.

Who can see my financial data?

Only you. Data is scoped to your user account and protected by database row level security policies, so records can only be read or written by their owner.

How is my account secured?

Sign-in uses a managed authentication provider with industry-standard session handling, and all requests to your data are authorised on the server.
